To eat or not to eat?

Lately, I have been feeling the urge to go on a diet. Well, I have gained a lot of weight for the last few months  and I'm having difficulties in finding clothes to wear. That's why I have decided to make this plans into actions. 
To tell you the truth, I don't eat too much. I just eat three meals a day with seldom snacks during the afternoon. The problem is that, my lifestyle has become very sedentary now that I am working in an office. Sitting around all day can contribute to weight gain since there's no way for you to at least burn all the carbs you have consumed during the day. So I would like to share the "diet plan" I have been doing for the last two weeks. 
Every morning, I make sure that I have stretched out my body. A ten minute stretching is what I do with at least a three-minute jumping jack session. You don't usually get sweaty by doing this but it awakens your body enough to make you active throughout the day. Then, I eat oatmeal for breakfast. I usually eat the ones with an ample amount of dietary fibers in it because it will help in good digestion. If you don't want the taste of plain oatmeal, you can always go for the ones with milk, fruits and nuts and other flavors as well. Then, throughout the day I make sure to at least drink 6-8 glasses of water. I do not if you have ever heard of water therapy but water really help in losing weight. It also gives you healthy and beautiful skin. I also prefer eating chicken and fish instead of pork. 
One more thing is that I avoid eating foods like potato chips since these kinds of foods contribute to the formation of belly fat. Lastly, I make it a habit to sleep not less than 7 hours a day. Staying up late gives you tendencies to binge in unhealthy snacks like chips and soda. Besides that, enough sleep is a must for a healthier you.
So far, those are the only steps I do to lose weight. I also eat a wide variety of healthy foods like fruits and vegetables. Remember you can always eat everything but on moderation. Eat a little bit of everything. You should also stick to your plans and think of your goals always.
